IV Iron Therapy

IV Iron Therapy is a procedure when iron is administered into the body through your veins intravenously. This procedure typically infuses iron into your body for 1 hour to 1 ½ hours. IV iron therapy is recommended for patients who are anemic and does require a referral from a physician. The number of treatments needed varies for every patient.

IV iron therapy is not covered by AHS, but might be covered by the patient’s private insurance.
